Lake Okeechobee can offer you some of your best fishing days. Come enjoy a Clewiston Florida Fishing Experience for a trip of a lifetime.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Isaiah and his good friend Weston traveling from Illinois. Grandma came along to take pictures and enjoy the boat ride. These 14 year olds really knew how to put some quality bass in the boat. They fish on their high school tournament team at home.

Before this trip, Isaiah’s biggest fish was 7.5 pounds and Weston’s was 5.5 pounds. My goal was to get them their personal best and we most certainly made it happen.

We had a fantastic fishing trip with some great numbers and quality. Isaiah and Weston saw some decent 5 and 6 pounders on their trip. Fortunately, they both landed their personal best largemouth bass.

Isaiah put a 7.75 pound largemouth bass in the boat while Weston also caught a 8.75 pounder. It is that time of year that we can make these days happen.
The locks are open and the water is coming down. Florida Fishing for bass is going to get really good and we do not want you to miss out on your adventure today!

I had the pleasure of fishing with two amazing friends. They work in the postal service and wanted to escape the cold for a couple days here in Florida. While doing so, they had to experience what Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing had to offer.

It was a wonderful morning and the colder weather seems to have pushed past us. Don’t count out the cooler weather that can move down here or be experienced here in Florida. It can help the bass fishing overall.

We are starting to catch females full of eggs which are the start to our great season. Big Bass will begin to move in and the opportunity to catch a personal best is upon us.
These gentlemen caught over 30 largemouth bass weighing up to 5 pounds. I am looking forward to having them come back here to catch more quality bass.

One of the best parts about Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing is the amount of fish you can catch all year long. We are coming up to our Big Bass Fishing Season where you can catch the numbers and quality you are looking for.

I had the pleasure to fish with Jim Robertson and his really good friend Bob Zigler traveling from Texas and Indiana. Jim comes out fishing with us quite a bit and will starting coming more once season starts.

Jim loves to keep track of all the fish he catches. He writes down all the numbers and sizes throughout the day. We had a lot of action on both live bait and artificial. The first day they caught 57 largemouth bass weighing up to 4 pounds.

Jim and Bob fished together for two days and then Jim came out with me by himself since Bob had to leave on the third. The second day was the best though. It was a dream day for them catching 93 bass.

Bob caught his new personal best weighing 8 pounds. You can’t beat days like this and many more are to come in this season.

Strong Morning Bass Fishing Bite on Lake Okeechobee

Morning Bass Fishing

Lake Okeechobee has been fishing incredibly lately. A Strong Morning Bass Fishing Bite can really help prove what the season is going to look like this year. Florida Fishing is a must experience when traveling here.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Steve and his son Tanner. They are customers of Captain Mark Rogers and wanted to explore Lake Okeechobee out of Clewiston on this trip. We love working as a team here at Bass Online and I was glad to show them an excellent time.

Steve has been fishing with us for a long time. The weather on Lake Okeechobee was beautiful on this trip. It was perfect for a great day on the water.

Steve and Tanner caught some big numbers with over 50 fish in the boat. They caught a lot of 3 pounders with the best fish weighing close to 5 pounds.

Early morning and throughout the later part of the morning was incredibly successful. The bite was strong right off the bat. Live bait remained the most effective technique to catching quality numbers.

The season is upon us and we do not want you to miss out on the action. Many great adventures will be encountered with a lot of big bass along with it. Let’s get you hooked up today!

Artificial Big Bass Fishing on Lake Okeechobee out of Clewiston Florida

Artificial Big Bass Fishing

When it comes to bass fishing and doing it for as long as I have, you need a break. Before our bass fishing season started here on Lake Okeechobee, I took a nice break and got away from Florida. Artificial Big Bass Fishing commenced once I got back on the water out of Clewiston, Florida.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Charlie Reid. He loves to fish for largemouth bass on Lake Okeechobee strictly with artificial baits.

Lake Okeechobee is preparing for one excellent season. Big bass are beginning to move in and Charlie knows all about this season as he is one of my great repeat clients. He has caught some big bass with me before but this trip was different.

Live bait is generally the best way to catch largemouth bass on Lake Okeechobee this time of year. Charlie would never touch it though. He is well experience angler that knows what he enjoys.

Charlie caught his personal best largemouth bass weighing 8.5 pounds. This female was an absolute monster and beautiful fish. You can’t beat the action this time of year.

It was a wonderful day and a great way to start the season off. Our season here on Okeechobee is the best time to catch the fish of a lifetime like the one Charlie caught. Don’t miss out on your adventure next time visiting the state of Florida.

Strictly Artificial Bass Fishing on Lake Okeechobee for Florida Largemouth

Strictly Artificial Bass Fishing

Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing out of Clewiston, Florida is taking off. A cold front moved in and dropped temperatures but that did not stop the bass from continuing to move in for their spawn. Strictly Artificial Bass Fishing can get tough but knowledge, patience and experience can trump it all.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Steve and Taylor traveling from Florida to fish beautiful Lake Okeechobee out of Clewiston. They have been fishing with me for many years and are incredible bass fishing anglers.

They are strictly artificial bass fishing anglers and do not like to use live bait. There are higher rewards fishing for largemouth bass on artificial baits for them. Cold fronts can really affect the artificial bite but they managed to catch some monster fish.

We had a blast on the water on this trip. Several quality bass were caught on Bass Assassin baits and Bovarney Swim Jigs. Swim baits and flipping rigs were the most effective with the biggest bass in the boat weighing 7.5 pounds.

Season is starting to look incredible and I am looking forward to fishing with Steve and Taylor again in the future. Don’t miss out on your adventures in Florida this season.

Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing High Water Levels

Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing High Water Levels

This is Capt Mark Shepard with your lake Okeechobee fishing report.

Well folks getting out there on the water after the storm came through and didn’t know what to expect I guided for Nick and his dad.

We went out to do some investigating cause you have to be careful not to run anything and we saw a few changes but overall it looked pretty good.

The water is extremely high tried a couple spots and struggled and then we found one spot and just smoked them and had a good time really good numbers decent quality fish for this time of year.

So I think this up and coming season is looking pretty darn good, the lake isn’t torn up at all the grass is moved around a little bit but that’s about it.

Two Day Fishing Trip On Lake Okeechobee

SGT Bryan Larson; US Army

BassOnline was fortunate to work with VetTix.org to provide a couple of days of fishing experience on world famous Lake Okeechobee for a wounded veteran.
Through this partnership we were able to make this dream come true for Sgt Brian. Who has a true love for fishing and had always wanted to experience Lake Okeechobee. Here’s a little about Sgt Brian Larson and how his two days went on Lake Okeechobee.

SGT Bryan Larson, was deployed to Iraq with the 3rd Coscom in 2005-2006 and was a Gunner on a HUMVEE. He has been awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was wounded by a roadside bomb in Taji, Iraq. Since Iraq he has returned home to Minnesota and married his wife and had two beautiful children. He went through medical evaluation process and was medically discharged from the army. He has always found peace in fishing and has always hoped to be able to fish on the famed Lake Okeechobee.

Read along to experience his two days on the water…

First Day Fishing With Capt Dave Lauer

Hey, this is Captain Dave Lauer calling in, fishing out of Belle Glade, the South East corner of the big Okeechobee. I had the pleasure to fish with Sergeant Brian Larson Out of Minnesota and his longtime friend been buddies ever since they’re a little kids, I call him iron Mike because his hook set is so hard that it rips the lips off the fish. Anyway These guys came down for a 2 day fishing trip on Lake Okeechobee We started off with a little artificial we ran into some schooling fish in one of the cuts off the rim canal fish busting all over. Then we went out to the lake to the outside grass line and threw some shiners, we ended up having to call Howard to get some more. We started off with 5 dozen and picked up another two dozen and had a good bite going from 8-130 and just had a good time those guys caught some big ones They lost some big ones. The fishing was pretty much steady all day long til about 130 and then the heat got to them and they went on strike. It was a pleasure to fish with a Hero, a Iraq veteran protecting our liberties so that we can fish down here in Florida. So say thanks to a veteran. This is Captain Dave signing out, tight lines.

Second Day Fishing With Capt Mark Shepard

This is Captain Mark Shepard with your Lake Okeechobee update. Well folks out on the water with Brian and his friend Mike. Brian is a wounded warrior He’s been tore up pretty bad there in a war, and it was great honor to be able to take him out on the water. It was kind of spotty at best, fishing all over doing some light tackle fishing, but what fish we caught was a lot of fun. We were catching them on that light line light tackle, We went around to a lot of different areas and picked up Just a little bit here and there. Hit one good Spot and put quite a few numbers in the boat with one decent fish about 4 pounds. It’s always an honor to be part of these trips and to get these guys out on the water, means a lot and for the service they’ve given us, It’s great to give back. This is Captain Mark Shepard all the best.
